a beautiful mess

Tired of a tangled mess when you go to wrap a present? Now here's a simple quick fix!

1. Gather some unused shoeboxes.
2. Wrap them in nice wrapping paper.
3. Punch a few holes about one inch apart on the long side of the box. Punch one hole on each end for the dowel rod to be placed
4. Take a dowel rod and cut to fit inside the box (long ways).
5. Place the ribbon spools onto the rod and thread the ribbon through the punched holes.

If you aren't fond of being crafty, you may purchase a box already designed to keep your ribbon organized and decluttered. As shown to the left. This container can be found at http://stamping.thefuntimesguide.com/2007/01/snapware_ribbon_organizer.php
